Sensitization program on child rights and protection

As per the directives of JCRT Ranchi, DIET Chiri organized a sensitization program on child rights and protection near the Municipal Building, close to the Block Office in Lohardaga today.

The program was inaugurated by Principal Abhishek Badhaik from DIET, District Education Propagation Officers Jaymangal Lohra, Ramjivan Nayak, Jaynath Mahato, Priyanka Kumari from Piramal Foundation, Aishwarya, and Pawan Kumar Gupta from C3.

Addressing the opening session, Principal of DIET highlighted the significance of child rights and protection in the present scenario.

Today’s program primarily saw the presence of District Social Welfare Officer, Mrs. Sita Pushpa, who emphasized the importance of the Mission Vatsalya.

The necessity of this program is linked to the information concerning stakeholders, such as the POCSO Act, JJ Act, Child Marriage Restraint Act-2006, RTE Act, and so forth.

The program witnessed the participation of over 200 attendees, including principals/wardens of 50 higher secondary and secondary schools of the district, KGBV/JBAV, respected teachers, and the Prime Ministers of the Children’s Parliament.

The program mainly consisted of four sessions, during which there were extensive discussions on child protection and rights. Workshops were conducted through PPT presentations and interactive discussions.

Apart from the additional participation of Ashok Pandey, the APO of Jharkhand Education Project, DIET’s coordinating Principal Amrita Sinha, members Ravishankar Kumar, Mahboob Alam, Shyam Bihari Mahato, Lalita Kumari, and Vijay Baitha also played pivotal roles in ensuring the success of the program.
